It is with profound shock and deep sorrow that I learnt of the brutal acts of terror that took place in four cities of Sri Lanka earlier today, and tragically claimed the lives of so many peaceful people.
On behalf of all citizens of Hungary, allow me to hereby express my heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the innocent victims. May I also wish a fast and steady recovery to the hundreds who were wounded in the despicable attacks.
In these difficult hours of grief, the citizens of Hungary stand by the people of Sri Lanka, and reaffirm their commitment to the global fight against terrorism and religious extremism.
